Whatever it is that I'm taking photos of, I prefer to take less posed images and go for a more natural look. Documentary-style photography is slightly different to traditional wedding photography; more about capturing the feeling of the day. Lots of photographers spend most of the day choreographing the wedding (and in my opinion, wasting your time!) I don’t want to turn your special day in to a giant photoshoot, mainly because I believe I can’t capture the heart and soul of your wedding this way.

Obviously, some posed shots are required. We will discuss which portraits you would like closer to your wedding date, as well as any group shots you require. I recommend putting aside around 20 minutes at some point of the day for us to have a wander and take some informal shots, just the two of you.

About me...

I’m Layton and this is a rare photo of myself (I prefer being on the other side of the camera!) I’m 29 years old and live in sunny Burnley with my wife, Anna. On your wedding day, you’ll hopefully not notice me too much… the day isn’t about me! I’m very relaxed and easy to get along with (Anna would say I’m too laid back but what does she know!?)

I love my job and wouldn’t change it for the world. What started out as an expensive hobby has become a career and I couldn’t be happier!

If you’re looking for a photographer who will take over your day, boss you around and generally annoy everyone then you should probably not hire me. I often leave weddings feeling like I was a guest who just happened to take a few hundred amazing photos!

Yourself and your guests needs will always come first on your big day: .…Thought of a last minute location for a photo but it’s 5 miles away? I’ll drive! … Grandma and Grandad want a photo before they leave at 8pm but I seem busy? Give me a shout or a wave and I’m there!

If you’d like to know anything else just give me a message on the contact page!

Cheers.
